Abstract [sv]

Syfte och frågeställningar

Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilket område som eleverna värderar mest inom hälsa och vad eleverna önskar att de hade fått mer undervisning om. Studien tar även reda på vilka kunskaper de saknar och hur eleverna ser på detta. Studien har utgått ifrån det centrala innehållet för kursen idrott och hälsa 1 på gymnasiet. Frågeställningar som studien ska undersöka är:  

  1. Vilka är, enligt eleverna, de viktigaste områdena inom hälsa i kursen idrott och hälsa 1?
  2. Vad önskar eleverna främst att de fått lära sig mer om i skolan vad gäller hälsa i idrott och hälsa?
  3. Vad anser eleverna att de framförallt saknar kunskaper om och hur ser de på detta?

Metod

Denna uppsats har en kvantitativ ansats. Datainsamlingen består av Google Forms enkätfrågor som berör studiens syfte och besvarar frågeställningarna. Urvalsgruppen var 116 gymnasieelever på en av Stockholms gymnasieskolor. Studien använder sig av Antonovskys teori, känsla av sammanhang, KASAM. 

Resultat

Kunskaper om nödsituationer och skador är det som flest elever anser är viktigast att ha kunskaper om. Majoriteten av eleverna önskar att de hade fått mer undervisning om stresshantering vilket också är den kategori som flest elever valt att de saknar kunskaper om. Eleverna vill lära sig mer om den kunskap de saknar och majoriteten av alla elever anser att de borde fått lära sig om det i skolan.

Slutsats

Kursen idrott och hälsa 1 bör innehålla mer undervisning om stresshantering. Undervisning om framförallt stresshantering samt nödsituationer och skador bör göras mer hanterbar och meningsfull. Lärarens tydlighet är viktig för elevernas kunskapsinhämtande. 

Abstract [en]

Aim

The purpose of the study is to investigate what is the most important areas high school students’ value in health and what the students think they should have received more education about. The study also finds out what knowledge the students lack and the student’s point of view on this. The study has been based on the curriculum of physical education in upper secondary school. Questions to be answered by the study is:

1. What, according to the students, are the most important areas regarding health within the course physical education 1?

2. What do the students especially wish they would have learned more about in school in terms of health in physical education?

3. What do the students think they lack knowledge of and how do they view this?

Method

This study has a quantitative approach. The data collection consists of Google Forms questionnaire that concerns the purpose of the study and answer the questions at issue. The selection group was 116 senior high school students at one of Stockholm's upper secondary schools. The study uses Antonovsky's theory, a sense of coherence, (aSOC).

Results

Knowledge about emergencies and injuries is what most students consider to be the most important to have knowledge about. The majority of the students wish that they had received more teaching about stress management, which is also the category most students have chosen that they lack knowledge of. The students want to learn more about the knowledge they lack and most of all students think they should have learned it in school.

Conclusions

The course physical education should contain more teaching about stress management. Teaching about stress management, emergency situations and injuries should be made more manageable and meaningful. The teacher's clarity is important for the students' knowledge acquisition.
