Abstract [sv]

Kapitlet handlar om etablering av idrottsplatser i Stockholm i idrottens begynnelse i slutet av 1800-talet. Det skedde i den forna jaktparken Djurgården, som kungamakten sedan 1809 hade dispositionsrätt över. Så småningom ledde det även till en flytt av Kungl. Gymnastiska Centralinstitutet till Stadionhöjden bakom den stadion som byggdes för olympiaden i Stockholm år 1912.
