Abstract [sv]

Syfte och frågeställningar:  

Syftet med undersökningen är att kartlägga elever i årskurs 9:s erhållna kunskaper i ämnet idrott och hälsa gentemot läroplanen. Nedan presenteras studiens frågeställningar.

- Finns det delar ur ämnet idrott och hälsas syfte där eleverna anger att undervisningen i ämnet har bidragit eller inte bidragit med de formulerade avsikterna? I sådana fall vilka?

- I vilka moment inom ämnet idrott och hälsa samt till vilken grad anger eleverna att de erhållit kunskap om och i ämnets tre stora kunskapsområden, Rörelse, Hälsa & Livsstil samt Friluftsliv & Utevistelser?

Metod: 

Studien har en kvantitativ ansats med enkätundersökning som metod. Enkäten som används är digital och distribueras av elevernas lärare. I studien deltog 410 elever och med ett bortfall på 49 elever, det ger undersökningen en svarsfrekvens på 89,3%. Skolorna som deltagit är kommunala skolor belägna i Mellersta Sverige.

Resultat:

Resultatet visar på att eleverna erhållit kunskaper relaterat till den praktiska delen av idrott och hälsa. Dessutom har de stor förståelse för det patogena-  och fysiologiska perspektivet på hälsa. Eleverna i studien visar att de saknar kunskaper inom det salutogena helhetsperspektivet på hälsa.

Slutsats: 

Tidigare forskning tillsammans med denna studies resultat visar att eleverna har mer kunskaper om de praktiska delarna av idrott och hälsa. Likt den tidigare forskningen visar även undersökningens respondenter att hälsoundervisningen är enkelspårig och saknar bredd.

 

Abstract [en]

Aim and research questions: 

The aim of this study is to investigate students in year 9 and their acquired knowledge in the subject Physical education and Health. Below are the research questions presented. 

- Are there parts of the formulated purpose in Physical education and Health, where the students say that the teaching of the subject has contributed- or not contributed with the formulating intensions with the subject? Which ones? 

- In which parts and what extent of the subject Physical education and Health do the students state that they have acquired knowledge? 

Method: 

The study has a quantitative approach with questionnaire as a method. The questionnaire is digital and distributed by the students’ teachers. 410 students participated in the study with a dropout rate of 49 students. This gives the survey a response rate of 89,3%. The students who participated in the study attends in municipal schools located in the central part of Sweden. 

Result:

The results show that the students have acquired knowledge related to the practical part of Physical education and Health. In addition, they have a great understanding of the pathogenic and physiological perspective on heath. The students in the survey shows’ a lack of knowledge towards the salutogenic perspective of health.

Conclusion: 

The result from this study as well as previous studies show that students acquire more knowledge about the practical parts of Physical education and Health. In accordance too previous studies, this study show that the Health education lacks the full spectra of health.
